Coconut Grove
Business Improvement District

About the Campaign:

With a rise in construction due to the CocoWalk redevelopment project, the historic neighborhood of Coconut Grove was in need of a boost in morale. Its local businesses were feeling the effects, and with neighborhoods like Wynwood and Allapattah competing for popularity, The Grove needed a jump in visitors.

Our strategy began with spotlighting the many wonderful local businesses through a series of storytelling pieces, social posts, and a revised Coconut Grove neighborhood map paired with helpful incites on how to navigate the area for long-term engagement.

Then, a series of open-to-the-public community events that all spotlight the best characteristics of the neighborhood. A "Permanent Vacation" event highlighting The Grove's tropical, laid-back personality. A "French Quarter Fest" shedding light on the delicious and flavorful eateries that compete with even New Orleans. A "Tribute to Woodstock" concert for the festival's 50th Anniversary spotlighting The Grove's ties to hippie culture. And an epic "Fourth of July Fireworks Show" tying everyone together in as friendly an atmosphere only The Grove can do.
