Call to Music

About the Project:
Miami has lost many of its most influential and legendary music venues over the years, thanks to constant redevelopment. So the music scene has seen vast changes, and not all of them good. Our musicians and producers are hungry for a place to celebrate their talents, and they're also in need of the tools that will help them get more bookings in and out of the city. Enter: Call to Music.
With the help of Rock the Moon Productions and Afrohead Rum, we took over the former Sidebar space in Brickell for 3 full days of filming. We curated a list of essential Miami acts, ranging in all genres from jazz and funk, to Latin, indie, and even Haitian folk. Each of these acts would record an original song and a cover, and would receive two free videos--recorded live for their marketing use.
Once the three days were up, we opened it up to the community for a free concert to continue celebrating the music scene in its entirety. Local favorites Magic City Hippies, Locos Por Juana, and Artofficial graced the stage. It was awesome. 2015, was a crazy time.
