With July hotly underway, Miami is sizzling with that true summer spirit. You know, the kind that simultaneously draws you outdoors for sunny hangs while luring you inside for some cool A/C action. This season is already more eclectic than most, with things to do that’ll inspire everyone. From World Cup watch parties and anniversary celebrations of your favorite local spots, check out what we’ve got on our radar:

Sunday, July 1st:

Bodega Brunch PartyBodega is expanding their Mexican street-food brunch to their exclusive speakeasy back bar! In true Bodega fashion, the party will be over the top starting at 12pm. Swing by for $10 Margarita pitchers, a DJ & live music and more. Brunch menu items include Churros French Toast and Migas Nachos.

Unfiltered: A Coffee House Night – Coffee, cigarettes, love, heartbreak, music, words, life.This is Unfiltered, a coffee house night. On this night poets and musicians will openly express themselves in an intimate setting. Free Coffee will be available throughout the night.

Tiki Takeover Part II – Come to Macchialina for Tiki Takeover Part II featuring Gui Jaroschy and C Virginia King with food from Chef Michael Pirolo. The last time they were behind the bar at Macchialina was 2014. Come by for some great cocktails, delicious food and good times.

Monday, July 2nd:

Wake Up Miami! 2018PAXy continues to bring the arts into people’s everyday lives with another 20-event series of Wake up Miami! Celebrating our city’s talent with FREE Performances at the Government Center Station most Mondays starting at 8:30 am.

Summer Hackers Camp – Summer Hackers is a two-week immersive summer camp featuring hands-on activities focused on introducing future creators to emerging technology. Students will be introduced to and will develop fundamental skills for creating and thinking about cutting-edge technology with the latest digital tools available.

Tuesday, July 3rd:

Soundbowl Healing with Marianna – Certified soundbowl practitioner, Marianna Lopez, will be leading the event with a series of soundbowls all aimed at breaking down stuck or blocked energy and recharging the body. This energetic breakdown will be reinforced with breathwork to create powerful release of old or stagnant energy that no longer serves the body. Through the vibration of the different soundbowls, energy is broken down easily, creating chakra attunement and balancing in a safe and nurturing environment.

Wednesday, July 4th:

Bourbon, BBQ & Beer Fest Savor complimentary beer samplings (21+ with RSVP) from favorite local breweries Veza Sur, Biscayne Brewing Company, J Wakefield, Hollywood Brewing, Wynwood Brewing, Concrete Beach, Stone Brewing, MIA Brewing and Estrella Damm. Dig in to special 4th of July BBQ dishes by the food concepts at The Yard along all day long. Rock out to ESCO delivering their soul-driven and melodic tunes at 4 p.m. followed by DJ Joseph Anthony rounding out the party from 7 pm. to 10 p.m.

Made at PAMM – Look through the lens of artist Sid Grossman and get inspired by his New York street photography. Use collage, storytelling, and photographs to create an artwork that reflects our collective contemporary culture and issues.​

Syndee Winters Live – Come out for an eclectic vibe of jazz-soul with Syndee Winters of the hit Broadway musical Hamilton. Bring the family, it will be a good time.

Friday, July 6th:

Charcoal beer garden + tapas Opening – The beloved Charcoal is transforming into a Beer Garden this summer for all your chilling and soccer-loving needs. The first 100 attendees will enjoy free beer and pretzel samples, but the delicious suds and bites will be there for your enjoyment all night long!

Amtrac by Link Miami Rebels – Never content to settle, Amtrac’s musical mood and influences change with each passing season. His ambition and curiosity keep him locked on the edge, always happy to experiment with new techniques and sounds. His music is what he feels in the moment. Simply put, his constant evolution comes from a hatred of boredom and a love for his labor. It’s just not in his nature to stagnate.

2001: A Space Odyssey (70MM) – CGAC presents a brand new 70mm print of 2001: A Space Odyssey to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Stanley Kubrick’s landmark film. Overseen by Christopher Nolan, “this 70mm print was struck from new printing elements made from the original camera negative. This is a true photochemical film recreation. There are no digital tricks, remastered effects, or revisionist edits. This is the unrestored film – that recreates the cinematic event that audiences experienced fifty years ago.”

Saturday, July 7th:

GZA the Genius – This installment of HipHop at the Hill welcomes none other than GZA the Genius of Wu-Tang Clan! With DJ Heron and performances by The Hoy Polloy, Legacy, John G, LaToya Jane, Mikey D. and more TBA.

33rd International Hispanic Theater FestivalAvante Theater, Adrienne Arsht Center and Miami Dade County Auditorium present the 33rd Miami International Hispanic Theater Festival. The Festival will consist of 9 shows from six countries: Argentina, Spain, United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Uruguay. The works will be performed in Spanish and some with supertitles in English.

Sondra Perry Opening Night – Opening Night for “Sondra Perry: Typhoon coming on” is free and open to the general public with RSVP. PAMM Free Second Saturday – Look between the lines and uncover the story behind Liliana Porter’s installation, “El hombre con el hacha y otras situaciones breves – Venecia 2017. Tell your own story by creating miniature installations during our hands-on art-making workshop.

The Wizard of Oz: Film w/ Live OrchestraThe Wizard of Oz was a technical marvel for the MGM studio in the late 1930s. Today, MGM has stunningly re-mastered this timeless classic. The brilliantly restored images are accompanied by full symphony orchestra playing entirely new transcriptions of Harold Arlen’s brilliant lost scores. Hearing Judy Garland’s original 1939 studio recordings, backed by lush, live orchestration, will transport children and adults alike.

Family Day in the Miami Design District –  Experience the first annual Children’s Exhibition at ICA Miami, an accessible exhibition designed for children of all ages and abilities featuring artist Laura L Marsh. Guests will interact with Laura Marsh’s tactile tent that contains a selfie station, ball forms, and a large-scale art flag. In the galleries, guests will take part in an interactive storytelling session in the gallery based on ICA Miami’s forthcoming exhibition, Sondra Perry: Typhoon coming on.

Lazy Sunday BBQ – Wind down and tune out at an extra special Swim Week edition of everyone’s favorite Lazy Sunday BBQ with NYC-based future-forward bodywear label Chromat and Miami’s own femme collective Fempower.
