Edukos Celebrates Anniversary in Style

It’s been one year since we first took a dive at Edukos, fawning over their American-Venezuelan fusions. To celebrate their first birthday, they partnered with David Foulquier of Fooq’s for special day surrounded by family. The two masterminds created a menu bridging the first’s South American roots and the latter’s Persian foundations. It was a hazy Saturday fogged by sangria, chicharron, and 90s jams.

What makes the Little Havana tavern so friendly is that you can physically see the traces of the people who have helped it come to life. From owner John Guilarte’s odes to family members lost and loved, to the local collaborations with Miami brewers. Even Wynwood Sign Co., who painted the interactive stories and inspirational quotes on the walls. Edukos, in many ways, is a place for welcoming refuge — and camped we did.

Every 20 minutes or so, the crowd was treated to succulent bite after succulent bite. Tequenos, lamb meatballs, smoked yogurt & date empanadas, and persian arepas, all topped our favorites. Among the sounds of jenga games, laughing kids, and passionate cooking from the kitchen, it was a happy Saturday at Edukos.

Taste the Tropics.

The Venezuelan fusion spot is popping up at our Tropical Sunsets jam this Wednesday, May 16th! We’re popping up with Brickell City Centre once again to celebrate the colorful flavors of South America. Featuring jams by Locos Por Juana and Simon Grossmann, and food by your favorites including Edukos. RSVP and swing by to sway with us.
