We’re here to beat your weekday blues with some new tunes brought to you by music’s up-and-coming indie acts.
The Israeli duo of Lola Marsh, comprised of lead singer Yael Shoshana Cohen and multi-instrumentalist Gil Landau is magical. When put together, they create one of the most charming and thoughtful groups in indie pop. Their debut record Remember Roses, which was met with critical acclaim from NPR, Paste Magazine and many more, showcases their range of songwriting talent. The album is a collection of songs that range from hopeful to melancholy. The band released “Wishing Girls” off their upcoming second album last summer and hopefully their next tour includes a stop here in South Florida.
Philadelphia-born, L.A. based indie-folk group Mt. Joy combine old-school classic folk rock and touches of roots-American to create their unique musical style. It has now caught the attention of music lovers everywhere. Releasing their first album on March 2, the band is already set to play some of the biggest stages of their career with appearances at Bonnarroo and SXSW and more. Plus, a tour throughout the United States.
Mehdi Benjelloun, better known by his stage name Petit Biscuit, is a French DJ and music producer. The young multi-instrumentalist has carved out a space for himself with his trademark electronic grooves. He creates the kind of sound that could fit perfectly with a yoga class or a sunset drive. Already gaining acclaim and frequent inclusions in Spotify playlists, be sure not to miss his show at The Ground on May 29th.
