Sherwoods is Little River’s New Brunch Destination

Miami has been late to the chase for several things, and brunch is definitely one of them. Finding a solid spot to enjoy your favorite boozy weekend meal isn’t as easy as you’d thinking in the rising Magic City of ours. Good thing Sherwoods Bistro + Bar has finally answered our prayers. The Little River gem launched their brunch menu a month ago and the crowds are going crazy.
With a mouth-watering menu of brunch classics, we really wouldn’t expect anything less from the seasoned culinary vets. They might have expanded to daily weekend feasts but the enchanting charm hasn’t lost a speck. For those of you who might have experienced Sherwoods’ dinner menu, the place is even more magical in the daytime. Bright light flooding in through the vintage windows, it’s a feast for the eyes before the food hits your tongue.
Home is where the heart is at Sherwoods, but good thing our hearts are in our bellies. But first, it might find itself in our liver as well. We kicked off our brunch gluttony with a few selections off their hand-crafted cocktail list, created by some of the best mixologists in town. Starting with their Rotating Mule, you’ll fawn over the Coco Lopez can glass and fresh-picked berry garnish. And no matter how fancy you might want to get, don’t over look their classic Mimosa and Bloody Mary, both at the top of our lists.
Feeling the pre-brunch hangover? Grab a coffee and delight in some fresh-baked local sweets to cleanse the palette. Then comes the diet downfall. If you think the Open-Faced Tomato Sandwich is simple, you’ll be surprised. We’re still dreaming of that herb ricotta. Then came the Eggs & Waffle, pilled high with a creamy scramble. The Croque Madame and Grilled Cheese Breakfast Sandwich, both pouring with melted gooeyness.
If that wasn’t enough, Executive Chef and partner, Barclay Graebner brought out the Lobster Tail Sandwich and we immediately had to take a post-brunch nap. Then came the crisp and fresh Breakfast Bowl so as to not hate ourselves too much. And finally, we can say in all confidence, some of the best pancakes you’ll ever have in Miami. But remember, that was just our feast. What’s yours going to be?
Sherwoods Bistro & Bar is open for brunch every Saturday & Sunday from 10am – 3pm, and dinner everyday from 5pm – Midnight.
