Björk Brought the Grime to Miami

December 6, 2017

III Points kicked off their Basel Concert Series with Icelandic singer Björk taking over MANA for a very memorable performance that only Björk herself could concoct with an elaborate DJ set and outfit to match.

The venue fit the elaborate avant-garde style of the singer with vines and palm trees cascading from the beams and surrounding the venue and the stage engulfed in foliage to create a dream-like rainforest atmosphere.

The performance consisted one the biggest ranges of music and sounds going from bird and ambient noises to playing Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)” and Cardi B’s Spanish version of “Bodak Yellow.” A very wide range and a very interesting show that kept audiences dancing, contemplating what was going on and in awe over being able to see the reclusive singer.

We were unable to get some of her hits since it was only a DJ set but it did not disappoint. Maybe next time she comes to town we will get a chance to hear her new album Utopia live.

Catch Wu-Tang Clan this Saturday as part of the III Points Basel Concert Series, grab tickets here.
