Community and Art Basel are two words you usually wouldn’t find in the same sentence together but they don’t have to be mutually exclusive. In fact, the new trend during Miami Art Week this year is accessibility and an open door–a far cry from the VIP lists and bougie parties of the past. And while there still is a lot of the high-end luxury going on, places like The Wynwood Yard are making sure there’s a strong balance for the little guys. From free concerts by internationally-renown acts, to the chill vibes you need to escape Basel stress, it’s got everything you need for the whole family.

Take a deep dive into the schedule below:

Wednesday, December 6th:

A special Basel Jazz Night – Catch a free live performance on the keyboard by South-Florida based jazz wonder Vaughn “V-Keys” Henry, a Miami jazz gem living in our midst. Enjoy the live music under the Miami stars as you enjoy cocktails from The Bar at The Yard and sit on your very own candle-lit table near the stage.
Time: 8PM. Tips: Come early to snag a table by the stage and get slinky.

Thursday, December 7th:

The Nth Power – Continuing their tradition of hosting a stellar musical lineup for locals and travelers alike, they’re bringing The Nth Power all the way from their spiritual home in New Orleans for one of the funkiest and most soulful sets you’ll see all year. Catch the incredible performance with a warm up set by Miami’s own Lemon City Trio and have your Basel sins washed away by exceptional musical talent. Plus, Kids Dreams Live Painting will be going on for the little artists out there.
Time: 8PM. Tips: Bring comfy shoes…you’ll definitely want to dance!

Friday, December 8th:

Afrobeta & Millionyoung – Join the epic Art Basel dance party featuring the legendary Afrobeta! Come ready to get down with this electronic duo we all know and love. Take in the electro-R&B sounds of Millionyoung, an awesome set by EONS and catch DJ Lolo spinning her musical knowledge on the decks. It’s a stacked lineup of local electronic sounds.
Time: 7PM. Tips: This is a great show to start off your night, we suggest grabbing a few drinks before you venture back out.

Saturday, December 9th:

Locos Por Hippies – Get ready for one of the most epic musical lineups to ever grace the stage featuring tons of collabs and special moments starting off with the always funky, Electric Kif for a special Basel happy hour featuring Yellow Shoots from NYC. Then, Miami’s own rising stars and purveyors of funk, Magic City Hippies are going to bring the house down. Finally, take in an awesome set by Locos Por Juana with their Latin reggae vibes to take the night home.
Time: 5PM. Tips: This is one of the best weekend happy hours in the city and a perfect meet-up point for your crew. There’s so much music going on that day, you can come and go as you please and still catch something awesome.

Sunday, December 10th:

Reggae Sundays Presented by Diplomatico – Don’t miss special live musical performances by Ras Kokay & The Truth, Yard faves Jahfe, Long Island’s Oogee Wawa and Mighty Mystik & The Hard Roots Movements. Kids will channel reggae vibes into artistic creativity while painting on provided skateboards from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy a frosty beverage or food from our resident culinary concepts and relax after a momentous weekend.
Time: 2PM. Tips: Spend the whole day here for the perfect Sunday wind-down after a busy week. We suggest checking out the Support Local Market for early holiday gifts, too.
