Wynwood Welcomes Veza Sur Brewing Co. to the Neighborhood
August 17, 2017
Tuesday night started off better than most weeknights with a sneak & taste preview of newly Veza Sur Brewery set to open its doors this weekend, ‘VEZA’ for ‘cerveza’ and ‘SUR’ for south. Situated ideally in the artsy, urban Wynwood neighborhood find yourself waltzing into a dimly lit eclectic ambiance welcomed by a Pinterest-like library, modern industrial seating options and the section we’re all fond of: a bar stretching from opposite ends.
Perfectly visible from inside the bar, brew-guru Asbjorn Gerlach, guided the tour into the beer tank room as he passionately demonstrated the mashing and fermentation process Veza Sur has mastered to refresh our taste buds with unique beer flavors like the Golden Gator Ale, Blood Orange Ale and Guava Ale (wipe off the drool, guys). This new brewery serves a full bar of not only artisanal beer but a concoction of brew cocktails.
Randy Perez & Gui Jaroschy from Bar Lab hosted a michelada-making workshop served with ice cold Veza Sur’s Latin Lager, Tajin spice, a lightly salted rim and their personal secret ingredient of Mexican buffalo sauce. Impeccably stirred to bring this firecracker of a michelada together (a menu item).
After a few rounds of brew, don’t fret! Your munchies are covered and taken to the next level if I may so myself, with the brand new food truck Baja Bao House stationed in the patio area. Walk on over and indulge in scrumptious tapas of Mexican-Asian fusion; from Lechon Asado Bao Buns, Tuna Poke Guac, Kalbee Quesadillas and 4 fro-yo based desserts. All brought to you by the makers of Pubbelly Boys.
On Saturday, August 19th, welcome the newbie on the block by celebrating at their Grand Opening FIESTA! Kick-back vibes, bring your local friends and enjoy live music by Xperimento and Mr. Pauer. #HechaEnMiami
