The 9 Best Happy Hours in Coral Gables
July 28, 2017
In case you didn’t know, Coral Gables is a treasure chest of local history carried out and lived in through its amazing kaleidoscope of businesses that call The City Beautiful home. From all-star restaurants and one-of-a-kind boutiques to intimate coffee shops that belong somewhere on the Mediterranean, the Gables has it all. As the crowds get younger with a fresh crop of young entrepreneurs working in the area, happy hours have blown up and with good reason. Check out our favorite spots to wine-down:
It’s an authentic Irish pub & restaurant right on Miracle Mile, but it’s been a Coral Gables mainstay since 1987. John Martin’s happy hour is perfect for those looking for a bite, they have some of their classics for as low at $2.
Copper 29 Bar
One of the newest additions to Coral Gables’ bar scene, Copper 29 has already got a strong following for its classy ambiance and stellar cocktails. They have drink specials every day, but it’s all about their Friday happy hour with a live DJ from 5 til close and epic sips.
Few spots are as quintessential in the drinking scene as The Bar. It’s the kind of place you go to get down, with sweaty jams and memories of college years. Their happy hour has always been on point, 2-4-1 cocktails and more.
This is one of the craziest, most popular spots to go to for drinks in all of Coral Gables. Tarpon Bend is perfect for a night with old friends. But what people love the most about it (aside from the delicious food) is their 2-4-1 happy hour that lasts into Saturday (what!).
Fritz & Franz Beirhaus
Many a wonderful time has been had at Fritz & Franz Beirhaus, especially over a boot of freshly poured German beer and a fried brat. Snuggled in a calm corner along Merrick Way, their happy hour is perfect for a calm time after work featuring $4 beer and $5 drinks.
Shuffled off adjacent to Giralda Ave. is a great little Italian market perfect for all your wine and tapas needs. Graziano’s Coral Gables location is perfect for any meal of the day but their happy hour is pretty on point. 2-4-1 drinks and tapas, we suggest the empanadas and a glass of wine.
Tap 42 has become a local favorite in the short time that it’s been a part of Coral Gables. With their brunch becoming a go-to place for boozy weekends, it’s their happy hour that also draws a crowd. 1/2 off their stellar cocktails at the bar is enough to get us excited.
If you haven’t checked out the open and light-filled Spanish gastrobar on Ponce, you’re seriously missing out. Not only is their food always fresh, but the vibe is light-hearted every day. You know what else is every day at Bulla? Their happy hour. That’s right.
Another great outpost by the 50 Eggs team, Swine has been a staple from the moment it opened in Coral Gables. The smokehouse serves up some of the most mouth-watering dishes, but their happy hour is great too. $7 specialty cocktails and $2 off their shared plates is totally worth it.
