Bookstore’s back, alright!

There are some great changes coming to a Coconut Grove staple. The last we heard, The Bookstore in the Grove would be closing it’s doors at the end of June. That was sad news to our ears as we never like to hear when a small business has to close its doors, especially one that has been serving the community for 10 years. Thankfully, the bookstore was saved by Amanda De Seta of LointerHome, who as a Coconut Grove resident has been bringing her daughter to the gem for years. Not wishing to see it lose its essence and loyal following, she has taken over the operation and is working to upgrade it and allow it to serve as a meeting spot in The Grove.

Coconut Grove is entering an era of revitalization and we love seeing the preservation of local businesses be a key component. The bookstore will be taking on a modern look, with an updated selection of books. However, this renovation is a work process and will be done over time as the store remains open to patrons.

A big change coming to the bookstore will be at their cafe. With a new menu for the full in-store kitchen by former Eating House wizard Adriana Egozcue. Their food is absolutely epic and we have the photos to prove it. They are also serving up Per’la Specialy Roasters coffee, smoothies, juices, and soon, will have wine and beer on the menu. There is something on the menu to fit your every need and desire while you browse their selection of books.

When you aren’t reading, you will soon be able to take a deep dive into their curated gift shop that will be carrying local goods on its shelves. There is so much more to come from this Coconut Grove gem as it revitalizes and remains a staple.

Get to know more about this blooming location at their reopening event July 14th.
