Jack Daniel’s Celebrates 150 Yrs in Miami

Not many brands can say they’ve lasted a century, or 150 years at that. More than just a badass whiskey brand, Jack Daniel’s has made a name for itself as a constantly current, forward-thinking brand that still manages to keep its classic image in tact. Maybe it’s the trademark typographical packaging, maybe its the romance behind the saloons of yesteryear, but Jack Daniel’s has perfected the art of always staying relevant, even in times of instant gratification and change.

To mark their 150th birthday, the Tennessee powerhouse isn’t throwing just one epic celebration, they’re expanding it into a week, taking it to three cities, and making it a general store where all are welcome and many are praised. It’s not all JD branding in your face at this pop-up. In fact, they’re setting themselves aside and making local creatives the spotlight at each store. Showing up as if from thin air, the Lynchburg General Store first opened its doors in NYC back in September, moving to Chicago for October, and now Miami from November 13th – 19th. With an experience overflowing in craftsmanship and deeply brewed with authenticity, the pop-up was welcome with open arms in both stops, and now’s our chance.

For a whole week, Wynwood will play host to the experience, with day-after-day of hands-on activities that’ll keep you coming back for everything you need. Just like a real general store. From workshops like barrel making and charcoal art, to multi-sensory activations like live art by Jessy Nite, Jack-infused treats by the local Little Sugars, a crash-course on JD tasting, a pop-up barber shop by Wynwood’s own Junior & Hatter, plus goods for sale by Miami-based artisans–they really know how to throw a birthday party for the books. Plus, each day will be heavily infused with jams by local DJ and Klangbox.FM’s Laura (of Miami), live tunes curated by Poplife, and tons of other special musical guests.
