Press Play: Oh Wonder
October 12, 2016
Oh Wonder, the cutesy, adorable duo from London, definitely have captured the attention of music-lovers everywhere. Starting off in 2015 by releasing their DIY album on Soundcloud and releasing a new track from that album every month for a year, they eventually garnered a huge fan-base and have now played at venues and festivals in different countries all around the world.
The synth-pop duo, comprised of Adam West and Josephine Vander Gucht, released their debut album in 2015 and ever since then, their career has sky-rocketed. The blend of the pairs’ voices mixed with their signature synth-beats are blended with a sampling of different genres like jazz, pop and alternative. None of their songs, though, are in any way aggressive or loud or crazy but rather, they create a sweet ambiance where you are tempted to just simply sway to the beat. This is the type of music you can definitely just sit at home and chill to.
The pair will be hitting the stage this month and Suwannee Hulaween and will join acts like The String Cheese Incident, My Morning Jacket, Disclosure, Rebelution, and many more. Their act will definitely be a good break from the madness and will no doubt bring something unique to the festival. To get you ready for that, take a listen to some of their songs from their album, Oh Wonder, like “Drive” and “Technicolour Beat”.
