The pumpkin spice may have already been busted out, but it’s still not fall yet, ladies. We’re still taking in all that’s left of our hot and sweaty summer season. As we shake away the golden tan, we’re ramping up for what will be our busiest autumn yet. The next few months are jam-packed with events and happenings, produced and promo-ed by yours truly. Take a peek at what we have in store for you all the way into November.

Saturday, September 24th: Jungle Boogie – We thought you needed a big, funky jam to ring in the season. Swing by The Wynwood Yard for some rainforest rhythms and Brazilian soul by the local powerhouse, Grupo Matriz. Bounce to the samba selection by Miami’s vinyl master, Mr. Brown, as you sip on frozé and tropical cocktails, plus Caribbean and Brazilian-themed cuisine by the on-site pop-ups.

Monday, September 26th: Metro Mondays: Free Coffee Pop-Up – As part of Miami-Dade Transit‘s Miami’s Never Moved Like This initiative, we’ll be popping up with The New Tropic once again at one of the city’s most popular Metro stations. Enjoy complimentary cold brew and breakfast pastries by Vice City Bean. Swing by before work and chat with us about your transit suggestions and any questions you might have about the future of Miami’s alternative transportation.
Where: Civic Center Station. Time: 8AM – 10AM. Tickets: Free.

Sounds from the Underground

Thursday, September 29th: Sounds from the Underground – Rounding out the Miami’s Never Moved Like This initiative, we’re going to have the most epic secret concert the city’s ever had. Live music by the Latin Grammy-nominated, Locos Por Juana, with an opening Afro Funk set by Xperimento. Grub by local eateries like Box of Chacos and Wynwood Parlor, handmade cocktails and craft beers by Mac’s Pubs. Check out the winners of the Transit Loves the Arts Bus-Wrapping Contest, and experience transit like never before. All you have to do is download the Transit Tracker App to find out the address.

Saturday, October 1st: The Raddest Craft Fair – Third time’s a charm, that’s what we always say. We’re happy to have The Raddest Craft Fair back at The Wynwood Yard for a day of art-making and friendship building. Let your creative souls soar with workshops from local artisans like dream catchers, macrame, print-making, mixed media, body scrubs, flower crowns and more. Jam to the sounds of local singer-songwriters and grab a drink to get your creative juices loose.

Craft Fair

Tuesday, October 4th: Community Chats ft. The Jupiter Circle – Gaby Guzman has led some of the most compelling social media and branding workshops in town, right in the A+E District. This season, she’s back with more creative topics, taking the conversation to the next level with community leaders that can share insights on how to make an impact with the right messaging and collaborations. You definitely don’t want to miss the tips.

October 7th – 9th: III Points Music Festival – To mark their record-breaking fourth year, III Points has partners with Prism to raise the community bar and incorporate some more local love into their grounds. We’ve come together to activate The Backyard, a place within the festival where you can escape to feel at home, filled with the smells of local eateries and the sounds of Miami bands. Lounge in an area specially-designed by Miami makers so that both locals and out-of-towners alike feel welcome.

Movies

Thursday, October 12th: Movies Under the Stars – Your favorite outdoor movie theater is back next month at Canvas in the A+E. Miami Film Festival returns with a select screening of the award-winning Argentinian epic: “El Clan” which is sure to have you on the edge of your seat (or blanket). Munch on a full asado by Gaucho Ranch and Fufi’s Empanadas, plus ice cream sammies from Wynwood Parlor, popcorn by Mad Chiller, and classic movie candy. Make sure to bring your own seats and blankets as chairs are extremely limited.

Saturday, October 15th: Afrobeta’s 2nd-Annual Mooncake Jam – One of the city’s most beloved duos, Afrobeta, is back with their celebration of local musicianship and artistry. Last year, the inaugural Mooncake Jam brought in over a thousand eager dancers ready to take in city-bred tunes. This year is bound to be even bigger than ever, all going down at the historic North Beach Bandshell. Drinks, local grub, and tons of fun activations are yet to be announced.

Miami Flea

Sunday, October 16th: The Miami Flea – The city’s biggest monthly flea market is back every third Sunday of the month in the A+E District. We’re talking another great Sunday of 100+ local artisans, thrifters, and flea masters. A dozen of Miami’s favorite eateries and outposts, and a jam-packed lineup of local musicians on the A+E Live Stage. Enjoy a kid’s corner, bike valet, hand-made art, henna pop-ups and more. Plus, wash it all down with hand-crafted cocktails by our friends at Mac’s Pubs. Dogs are always welcome.

Thursday, October 10th: Rooftop Unplugged Sessions – Easily our favorite rooftop jam in the city, maybe because it’s the only one of this size and open to the public. Take in the city skyline as you’re drawn by the sounds of local eclectic soul, Shira Abergel. Enjoy handmade cocktails, and ice cream sandwiches by Wynwood Parlor because we’ll never get tired of those.

Miami Folk

Friday, October 21st: Miami Folk: Keith Johns Album Release – A lot of people might think of Miami’s music scene as something more Latin or electronic, well we’re here to prove otherwise. Come celebrate life and the things we love with Miami’s first-ever folk-driven music festival at The Wynwood Yard! Enjoy a full lineup of local troubadours and songstresses, plus hear Keith Johns’ new album, “Grateful Fool”, in its entirety. Families, dogs, souls of all shapes and sizes are welcome.

Wednesday,October 26th: Candlelight Music in The Garden – We’re launching an all-new music series every third Wednesday at one of our favorite hidden gems: Mina’s Mediterraneo. Imagine a secret garden of lush, tropical leaves, sprinkled with romantic overhead lights, stars, and flooded with candles. Okay, now that you’ve got that pictured, see a glass of wine in-hand and hear the sounds of one of the city’s most sought-after voiced: Yoli Mayor. Enjoy drink and food specials to mark the occasion.

Nu Deco

October 27th – 29th: Nu Deco Season Two, Concert 1 – For their second season, Miami’s own 21st Century orchestra is off to a spell-binding start. Back at The Lightbox at Goldman Warehouse, taking in classical music in an intimate setting like never fathomed before. These guys will be busting out some classics like Schoenberg, and the first-ever special collaboration with the award-winning singer, Bilal. Plus, they’ll be ending the night with the world-premier of Sam Hyken’s tribute to Massive Attack. Yeah, get on it.
