Prism’s SXSW Picks

March 9, 2016

By admin

No one is ever ready for the stimulus overload that is SXSW. We sure as hell aren’t. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, SXSW is ready to do it big, stepping up the innovation game with each carefully planned activation and set time. For 10 days from March 11-20, Austin will be the single most important cultural destination in the country, with 5 of those days being dedicated to music. It’s a constant blend of FOMO and awe, but we’re not complaining.

Of course, we’ll make our way to the main stages like every other fan on the musical version of March of the Penguins, but it’s the satellite parties that really tickle our fancy. But where does a flea like myself, an absolute newb to the city, even start? From label showcases to themed day parties, we’ve broken down what multi-sensory goodies we’ll be hitting up, and you should too.
